Our Foundation
Slifeworld is rooted in historic Christian faith. We affirm the authority of the Bible, the lordship of Jesus Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, the call to discipleship, and the mission of the Church to bear witness to the kingdom of God.

Core Beliefs
The following beliefs shape the spiritual identity of Slifeworld and provide a clear foundation for our content, membership, prayer ministry, teaching, and public witness.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the faithful authority for Christian belief, moral life, worship, discipleship, and service. Scripture reveals God’s character, humanity’s need, Christ’s saving work, and the hope of eternal life.
The Triune God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, just, merciful, sovereign, and faithful. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
God the Father
We believe God the Father reigns with wisdom, righteousness, and love. He calls people into relationship with Himself, hears the prayers of His children, and works redemptively in history and in human lives.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, brings people to faith, indwells believers, empowers Christian living, gives spiritual gifts, produces spiritual fruit, and guides the Church in truth and mission.
Humanity and Sin
We believe human beings are created in the image of God and possess dignity, value, and moral responsibility. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of forgiveness, redemption, and new life.
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. No one is saved by personal merit, religious performance, or good works, but through repentance, faith, and the finished work of Christ.
New Life in Christ
We believe those who trust in Christ are called to a transformed life marked by holiness, love, humility, obedience, forgiveness, compassion, integrity, and faithful service to God and neighbor.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, practice fellowship, serve the vulnerable, and bear witness to God’s kingdom in the world.
Baptism by Immersion
We affirm baptism by immersion as a public testimony of faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes death to sin, burial with Christ, and resurrection into new life through His saving power.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of remembrance and worship, pointing believers to the sacrifice of Christ, the forgiveness of sins, the unity of the Church, and the hope of His return.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, renew creation, and establish the fullness of God’s kingdom. This hope calls believers to faithfulness, courage, and holy living.
Faith must be confessed, taught, practiced, and lived.
